SAMALONA / KODINGARENG KEKE ISLANDS

Want to experience the beauty and thrills of two of Makassar's most beautiful islands? Then join me on a traditional Indonesian boat to reach these stunning destinations. The boat trip takes approximately 45 minutes to reach the furthest island.

- Go fishing and cook your catch over an open fire.

Trip to Malino - Ketemu Jodoh & Takapala Waterfalls
Price: IDR 450 K (Includes entry ticket to both waterfalls) - 1person
IDR 550 (2-4 persons)

Take a trip up into the Malino Rainforest (approx 2 hours from Makassar) and see two of Makassar's most spectacular waterfalls and cool of by taking a dip in the natural pools directly below the waterfalls.

On the way back to Makassar City, you can choose from several places to stop at such as the Bili Bili Dam, pick your own strawberries in the picturesque strawberry farms, or stop to take some pictures at the Holyland Park. Time pending, you may wish to stop at all three places, or go horse riding in the Malino Pine Forest or stop for a beautiful sunset in the Malino Highlands Tea Plantations.




Maros Tour - Bantimurung Waterfall and Helena bridge + Ramang-Ramang Limestone Karst

Bantimurung waterfall is one tourist destination in South Sulawesi that you should not miss, a cool waterfall and surrounding forests situated at the valley of a limestone hill with its fertile tropical vegetation. Bantimurung is also famous for its beautiful and colorful rare butterfly species. Visitors can view stalactites and stalagmites by heading into the one-kilometer long Gua Mimpi (Dream Caves) to the right of the waterfall or taking a short walk accessible from the stairs to the left of the falls to Gua Batu (Stone Caves).

After exploring enjoying the waterfall and exploring the caves, test your adrenaline by taking a walk across the Helena Sky Bridge situated in the Bantimurung Butterfly Sanctury.

And then on to the Ramang-Ramang Karst for a scenic 1 hour boat ride through the second largest karst in the world (karst refers to a type of geological formation that is shaped by the dissolution of soluble bedrock) - Stunning landscape and perfect for pictures.

Visit one of South Sulawesi's most famous beaches approximately 4 hours drive away from Makassar City. Bira Beach and Tanung Beach are also close to Appalarang Cliffs (famous for its cliff umping) and Liukang and Kambing Islands in which there are vast water activities to enjoy and beautiful white sandy beaches to relax on. Kiukang is well known for its snorkeling spots and Kambing Island for its magnificent diving experiences.

Tanah Toraja

Tana Toraja, the famed "Land of The Heavenly Kings", lies about 328 km north of Makassar, the capital of South Sulawesi Province,in the central highlands of South Sulawesi.

Tilanna Natural Pool: Tilanga is a quiet, natural cool-water swimming pool. You can swim, but don’t be surprised if some friendly eels come to say hello. It's best visited during the rainy season.
